A basic football score board displays game time, home and guest scores and quarter. Most will also display the ‘Downs’. Intermediate football scoreboards also have ‘Ball On’ and ‘Yards to Go’ information, as well as Possession indicators.
NOTE: Even though the fans rely on the scoreboard for critical game information, the “official” game time in a football game is usually kept by the referee on a stopwatch. Most leagues prefer not to have a horn sounding automatically at 0:00; for this reason, horns are considered optional equipment. Remember to ask your sales rep to include a horn if you wish to have one installed at the factory. The controller program can be set to control the horn manually or automatically.
